Setup was a lot more involved for these.   They seem to work just as well, and you get more data, but it took about ten minutes to set up at 7-11 when I did it with a friend; the singtel SIM just worked as soon as the lady behind the counter at the currency exchange place handed it to me.   So, I guess you get to pick which thing is more important.   :)
