Ted,

There are numerous cafés all around that probably do serve filtered 
coffee using paper or metal filters or use a french press. I was 
alluding to the traditionally made coffee at chinese, malay and indian 
outlets. Unfortunately I can't really vouch for which specific cafés do 
use paper filters, since I tend to patronise the more local places 
whenever I visit the city.
