Pretty sure this applies only to gear that yo "bring into the contry" ==
intend to leave in country. Not for your personal gear that yo will take back
with you when you leave.

Theoretically you should have with you for whatever foreign country you visit
receipts for all the expensive gear you carry with you in and out of the
country if you want to be on he safe side. Would be surprised if there is
a lot special here for Singapore.
