Define "universal"? When I see the term in a context like this, it usually means "UK, European, or US", and might also include Australia/NZ. I was look for one last week (in India) that had round connectors where the UK one has rectangular - and if it has a transformer, we could mention countries that use the Aussie plug but flip the voltages around.
