It could certainly be good to have some headroom between
deciding on a hybrid meeting and actually doing one, so we
can better decide on how to do it and check out th best
tooling for it.

manycouches predates SHMOO, SHMOO simply reuses that mailing list,
but discussions beyond SHMOO charter are still be fine on the list.
I can only encourage any attendee who has not yet subscribed
to manycouches but is interested/concerned about the online
or potentially hybrid future meeting structure to subscribe and
engage. I am shure the SHMOO chairs will then accordingly
manage discussion and charter.

Each attendee using their notebook in a room would IMHO reduce the
cost of eliminating the need to set up projector and especially
stage and room-audio, But it would add more cost for further meetecho
optimizations, namely that it needs to very likely do more
to mute audio being picked up from seat neighbor microphones.

And IETF could make a fortune selling overpriced headset
on-premise when we ask everyone to use one. Kidding on the
overpricing, not kidding on the strong recommendation to use
them.

Aka: certainly something that should be experimented first
before knowing how well it works. We jut have right now
some mixed success from hybrid interims pre-corona with
webex i think.

Cheers
