Back at the beginning of the pandemic shutdown spring 2020 , I was =
looking for a project to help out.

=20

After not succeeding with a W3C =E2=80=9CCommunity Group=E2=80=9D =
(CoVid-19 Remote Meet, Work, Class Community Group (w3.org) =
<https://www.w3.org/community/covid-19/> )

I thought I=E2=80=99d experiment with a different kind of clearinghouse =
-- a =E2=80=9CDiscourse=E2=80=9D managed web site / email forum.

=20

I populated the site with material I=E2=80=99d collected as well as some =
posts.

It=E2=80=99s there on the net

     https://going-remote.info

=20

But attracting a community of users who need it =E2=80=93 too hard. The =
good advice I got was =E2=80=9Cstart with a community=E2=80=9D.

After a few months, I found another project. But I=E2=80=99m reluctant =
to let the work go without one more try:

=20

If you (IETF attendee) have a community of mainly system administrators =
or technical experts who could use such a forum, check it out.

=E2=80=9CFree to a good home=E2=80=9D. Don=E2=80=99t make me drown =
(shut down) the server.=20

=20

If, after looking around, you=E2=80=99re interested, send me email; I =
can make a point to be around gather.
