My advice would be:

— Be in the WG meetings 10-12 minutes early.
— Switch on your camera.
— Talk to whoever you see, but (usually) not about the WG.

Sure, that impinges on your gather.i-e.tf time, but that is maybe more useful for more structured ad-hoc meetings before or after the 6-hour slot period.

(The only problem is that the meetecho meetings only seem to start a limited number of minutes before the official start.)
