IETF 120 Vancouver 20-26 July 2024 Hosted by Huawei Here is some information to help you prepare for the upcoming IETF 120 meeting: # Hydration Stations The IETF 120 venue offers water stations throughout meeting room areas. We encourage meeting participants to travel with refillable water bottles to reduce reliance on single-use plastic bottles. We will not be offering still water during break times. # Board Game Night Please join us for IETF 120 Board Game Night on Tuesday, 23 July 2024 from 18:45-23:00 PDT in the Grouse room on the 34th floor of the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. While not a replacement for the social event (IETF 120 will not have a hosted social event), Board Game Night provides an opportunity to come together and play board games while enjoying light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Board games and puzzles will be provided. We plan to offer games that vary in difficulty and game play length, such as Uno [1] and Bananagrams [2], as well as more difficult ones such as Cascadia [3] and Planet Unknown [4]. We encourage you to bring any of your own games as well. After Board Game Night, the Grouse room will be available throughout the week to continue your gaming adventures. # More Sustainable Badges We are continuing the experiment with new badge material to reduce waste and plastic usage. In the event that your name badge breaks, or becomes weathered, you can get a replacement at the registration desk. We will be tracking how many replacements we issue throughout this experiment. A single badge will be provided for participants who have registered for both the IETF 120 meeting and the IETF Hackathon. # Destination Vancouver “Show your badge” Program While we recommend stashing your badge out of sight when you leave the venue, do consider bringing it along while you explore Vancouver. Destination Vancouver’s show your badge program offers discounts to IETF 120 participants on a wide variety of experiences, shopping and restaurants. For more information see: https://www.destinationvancouver.com/meeting/explore-the-city/show-your-badge/ We look forward to seeing you at IETF 120!
