IETF 124 Montreal 1-7 November 2025 Hosted by Comcast and NBCUniversal Thank you for registering for the IETF 124 Montreal meeting which starts in just a few days! Whether you are planning to participate onsite or remotely, here is some information to help you get the most out of the meeting before it starts. # New participants If you are a new participant (generally anyone who has been to less than five meetings) and you have not received the new participant emails with details of information and events for new participants, please let us know at support@ietf.org # IETF 124 agenda and side meetings We recommend that you take another look at the IETF 124 agenda as there are always a few last-minute changes to IETF meeting schedules as sessions are finalized, including updates to individual session agendas. https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/124/agenda We also recommend that you check the side meeting agenda as that is regularly updated: https://trello.com/b/s1hNprRf/ietf-124-side-meeting-scheduling == If you are participating onsite, here are some additional tips before you arrive at the meeting venue: == # IETF Network Details The ietf-hotel network, which has historically been an open network, now requires a passphrase for access. SSID: ietf-hotel Password: ietfietf The network is available in guest rooms and hotel common areas and provides both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity. It uses WPA2-PSK for authentication and supports dual-stack addressing. If you encounter issues connecting, please confirm that your device is configured for WPA2 Personal and that it is not attempting to connect to a cached open version of the SSID from a prior meeting. You can remove the old network profile and reconnect using the password above. The ietf-hotel network is provided by the IETF NOC in cooperation with the venue and relies on the hotel’s underlying infrastructure. For direct assistance, please contact the NOC by emailing support@ietf.org with as much detail as possible, including your MAC address, device type, and current location in the hotel. https://www.ietf.org/meeting/technology/ # Bring refillable water bottles for hydration stations As always, we encourage meeting participants to travel with refillable water bottles. The IETF 124 venue, Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth, will offer water stations in all session rooms and break locations. # Later Lunch Hour We are continuing the daily schedule with a later lunch hour based on positive feedback from IETF 123. The lunch break will be from 13:00-14:30 local Montreal time, Monday through Friday. # Travel Library A reminder that if you have a book that you would like to leave for another participant to read, please feel free to bring it to the Travel Library at the IETF Registration Desk. # Check out the IETF 124 Wiki Helpful information has been collected in the IETF 124 wiki, intended to aid participants with transport, dining, etc. Be sure to take advantage of all of the excellent recommendations and resources collected there, and of course add your own! https://wiki.ietf.org/meeting/124 We look forward to seeing you soon at IETF 124!
