The agenda was reshuffled as follows:
- Round table
- Ongoing LS
- Status of the 3GPP-IETF dependencies
- Ongoing IANA action

Ongoing LS:
No specific issues
Feedback from IETF is expected on progress and prioritization on the multipath extensions to QUIC

Status of the 3GPP-IETF dependencies:
Some of the drafts in the RFC ed queue are moved forward, which will unlock a bunch of others (e.g. rtcweb).
No specific issues.

For the drafts under IESG evalution, there is a syntax change impacting the draft-ietf-sipcore-sip-token-authnz. An update is required but it should be straightforward after that.

In the expired drafts, some news:
draft-jesske-sipcore-sip-tree-cap-indicators seems not to be required anymore. Will be removed as reference in 3GPP specs
An update of draft-jesske-update-p-visited-network is expected soon, after the completion of the work on sipcore-locparam

For the drafts on json-schema, it seems that it is unlikely that these documents will ever be sponsored by any AD. Controversial topic that has to be formally addressed by a WG before being published. Lionel will try to check with the authors of the drafts what is the next step for him.

IANA action:
Ongoing request for SCTP port number assignment for the W1 interface
Following the same functional requirement than the F1 interface for which a port was assigned.
Alternative based on DNS-SD/mDNS proposed by Lionel. But would be good to have guys with a real DNS expertise providing feedback on the proposal, to see if the proposed way forward is technically correct. Important for 3GPP if IANA will not allocate a port number and if we don't want to rely on manual configuration (painful for operators in large deployment)
For info, there is a tutorial on mDNS/DNS-SD that was done in Singapore (https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/106/materials/slides-106-edu-sessf-service-discovery-for-ip-applications-00). Could be useful to communicate to 3GPP guys.
Lionel will ensure to further discuss this topic in the coming days.

QCI-Diffserv mapping:
Still under discussion in IETF. One key aspect is to not cross the line between what can be done in IETF and what must remain under the 3GPP responsibility on this topic.
This discussion is followed by Martin Dolly, acting as "3GPP safeguard". No specific need at this stage for cross-coordination between 3GPP and IETF on this topic.

Next coordination meeting:
IETF 108 (July 25 - 31, 2020). Exact dates to be decided
If there is no F2F meeting, an webconf will be set up instead

End of the meeting

Thanks to all the attendees.

Regards,

Lionel

     Objet : 3GPP-IETF coordination metting, Tuesday 28/4

     Hello,
After the tsunami caused by the COVID-19 outbreak on the organization of our respective meetings, it is time to resume our coordination meeting.
I have set up a webconf next week, Tuesday 28th of April, from 17h to 19h CET.

Here is a draft agenda for the coordination meeting:
- Round table
- Ongoing LS
- Ongoing IANA action
- Status of the 3GPP-IETF dependencies

Let me know if you see other topics that would need to be addressed during this meeting.

On the third point "IANA action", we have to move forward on this topic.
To avoid a port allocation for a new SCTP app, I have investigated an alternative solution based on DNS-SD and mDNS. But I'm still not sure that it is the correct way forward and some people in 3GPP are not convinced by an "individual" proposal (which is acceptable). Moreover, if nothing is done in this area, new request will come as new protocols are under development in different 3GPP groups or coming from outside 3GPP, e.g. O-RAN.

Please find hereafter the information for accessing the webconf.
