the IETF Note Well (https://www.ietf.org/about/note-well/) applies to side meetings, and it specifically contains the following clause:

  • As a participant in or attendee to any IETF activity you
    acknowledge that written, audio, video, and photographic
    records of meetings may be made public.

This applies to everyone participating in the side meeting, whether they are registered to the IETF meeting that the side meeting is related to or not.

(The other clauses in the IETF Note Well apply as well, of course.)
