Thanks for adding this point. Perhaps it can be included as one of the reasons for exceptions for EUI-64based IPv6 addresses.
Michael,  a novice question : Can you please elaborate use of 802.1AR  device security in 6lo/6tisch type of devices ? ie are they going to be available as an option/default for the 802.15.4 devices?

I will add that we may have 802.1AR certificates built into constrained devices which authenticate their EUI-64, and if they can't speak from that address, then all the security may fail.
