Thanks for the clarification, Lisa. One thing I see missing from the
proposed charter is a clear problem statement. The charter states that
Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Networks are increasingly important and
that the WG will define a framework for manipulation of resources that
are available on LoWPANs. But I'm not sure what is driving the need for
such a framework, exactly what problem we're solving at the IETF, how
our solutions will serve the needs of operators, device manufacturers,
application developers, and end users, and why we think that the IETF
can bring special expertise or insight to bear on an application space
that is already being addressed by other SDOs and industry groups.
However, I freely admit that I might be missing context. :)
