Just in case some of you have seen the "Important dates" for IETF76 (http://www.ietf.org/meeting/cutoff-dates.html 
), you may wonder what's going on with today's BOF approval deadline.

has the explanation:

> Sept 14 is listed as the date ADs approve BOF requests, but that is  
> in conflict with the day we actually have scheduled discussion  
> preceding approval -- that is Sept 25.

["we" = the area directors, who are maintaining that Wiki page.]

There will be some off-list discussions (between ADs and proposed BOF  
chairs) in preparation for that date this week; Zach and I will keep  
you up to date.

In preparation for that:
If any of you have drafts in the pipeline and can already talk about  
your plans of submitting them, please do that now!
