In many ways I think that most active IETF contributors are running at
capacity. For example, various area directors have done a good job of
closing down moribund WGs, which means that the remaining WGs are mostly
humming along, requesting meeting slots (thus compressing the schedule),
holding busy and interesting mailing list discussions, etc. There's
simply too much to keep track of and thus too many things fall through
the cracks. I don't know what the solution is, but the first step is to
admit that we have a problem. :)
