If you get NEXUS first, getting GE is automatic and free. Once
approved you do need to stop in at an enrollment center so they can
collect fingerprints and put a GE sticker in your passport, but there
is no interview. I did it backwards, getting GE first (since I could
just drive to a border crossing station and enroll there) and NEXUS
later (on my next trip to Canada) and hence had to pay for each and
go through the full NEXUS enrollment and double-interview (first by a
Canadian then by a U.S. officer).
