On the contrary, I think Pearson to downtown via the 427 and QEW is a half hour in normal traffic, if not less. I used to do that commute daily.

It's certainly longer during the morning rush hour though, or if there's construction or an accident somewhere along the way.

But I would include buffer time if what you're trying to do is connect to a flight.  City Centre Airport is on an island and you have to take a short ferry ride over to it.
