When we arrived at the hotel, they gave us a pretty hard sell on the valet parking, on the basis that valet parking includes in-and-out privileges, but the self-park down the hill does not.   It turns out that the self-park place offers a seven day pass for $84, which is the equivalent of five days of parking and includes in and out privileges.   This is a much better deal than the valet parking at $25/day plus tips.

The self-park place I'm talking about is the one that the hotel sends you to—if you go right out of the hotel parking lot, take your first right down the hill, and then go in the first entrance for Place Quebec parking, that's the place.   You have to take your ticket to the parking attendant and get pay for your pass there.   There's also a three-day pass if you aren't staying the whole week.
