According to the Global Entry FAQ, the card isn't needed except for 
surface crossings (in which case, as I think John Levine mentioned, 
it gets you back into the U.S. from Canada using the expedited lane):

	"if you do not travel by land between the U.S. and Canada or 
Mexico, you probably don't need it."
