From my limited experience of every Minneapolis IETF since 2000 onwards, what THAT hilton had over any other venue was:

Deep understanding of what we wanted and expected from the venue.

They totally got what we wanted. They couldn't always meet it, but they did know we wanted it.

That goes to "go to the same place more than twice: they learn"

This is only the second time we've been in this Hilton, in 12 years. MN got us 3-4 times over the same period.
