Chairs do not always show up for the meet&greet, but as AD I always do.   Sometimes it's a bit discouraging, because let's face it, we are all geeks, and not that good at going up to people and talking to them.   But it sounds like you did a good job of introducing yourself around.   Hopefully I will see you before you leave on Wednesday.   You will certainly see me at the Admin plenary if you stay for that, but I'll also be at the tech plenary tonight.
