Dave,

Did you try plugging in your own Ethernet cable (just to see if it's 
the cable)?  If it's not the cable, the hotel or BT should be able to 
organize someone with physical access to sort it out.  I was at a 
hotel recently where the wired access didn't work, someone was able 
to swap the end-point of the plug in the room to a different jack at 
the port and that fixed it.
