Lack of hot water is a serious issue and should be immediately
reported to the hotel. If it has been reported, were they able to
correct it?

Depending on the type of AC control, you may need to call and have
engineering alter the set point.

Personally, I've been happy to leave the Do Not Disturb sign on every
day to keep my room from being cleaned. I can keep it clean and
straighten my bed just fine.

Why a petition? Why not just go ahead and post your experiences?

[A]fter all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy
and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it
is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a parliament or a communist
dictatorship.... That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are
being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and
exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.
