Hi,

The IETF mentoring program is looking for experienced IETF veterans that are interested in sharing their knowledge and wisdom with first time attendees. The mentoring program allows the IETF community to grow by helping new attendees assimilate better into the IETF. The program aims to provide first time attendees with a better understanding of the IETF, knowledge of the standards development process, and someone to turn to when questions arise.

Mentors are expected to:
Send them an introductory email explaining a little about yourself (background, IETF area of work, affiliations)
Plan to attend the Sunday afternoon Meet-and-Greet so that you can meet your mentee face-to-face
Make yourself available periodically throughout the meeting week to answer questions as needed
If the mentee is female, the mentor should recommend the mentee get involved in the Systers (join mail list, attend Thurs lunch)

If you would like to become a mentor, please send an email to Naveen Khan <nkhan@amsl.com>.

Sincerely,

Naveen Khan
