Thank you very much to the social event organizers for letting us
visit such an interesting place. It was a lovely evening.

Please also pass my thanks on to the event crew especially. I guess
they were "Concept 1"? They were very helpful to me.

See, I've hurt my foot this week and have been really hobbled by the
pain. During the social event I was moving progressively more slowly
and the thought of walking back to the subway and then to my hotel was
deflating. I resolved that I'd just take a taxi back.

Apparently that isn't quite as easy as I imagined it would be, just
going out to the road and hailing one. So I inquired how I could get
a taxi, and one of the team used her own mobile to put a call out.
The conversation ended up being way longer than I would have ever
imagined for ordering a cab, and I can only wonder at why.

When the cab came another animated discussion in Czech took place for
what seemed like a couple of minutes, but ultimately it all worked out
and I got the ride back to my hotel's front door. Whew.
