Re: [93attendees] Social Event Appreciation

I would also like to thank our hosts, CZ.NIC and Broadcom, for a really
excellent and well thought out social.  The food and drink were good and
the locale was lovely - but what really stood out for me was the thought
and care given to facilitating the social conversations that are so
important.  There was plenty of interesting entertainment, but - except the
awesome fireworks with great accompanying music - nothing that tried to
grab attention for a long time or prevented quiet side-conversations.  The
noise-level allowed easy conversation and there were lots of different
places to explore and discover the amusements.

I regret that I didn't get out for a boat ride or explore the basement with
the liquid-nitrogen dessert making. *sniff*

I know that such socials cost far far far more than the ticket fees.  I
really appreciate not merely the funding from our hosts, but the care and
thought given to the aspects of the Social that really help pull us
together to socialize informally as a community.
