Welcome to Yokohama!

We would like to make you aware of a couple of experiments that we are running at this meeting. While we have the printed pocket agenda available for anyone who wants one, we are also making the agenda available in other ways. Because the meeting agenda is constantly evolving, the printed pocket agenda inevitably contains a number of inaccuracies by the time the meeting arrives. In order to make accurate information readily available to all meeting attendees, we are striving to make the digital agenda more accessible.

1. Monitors
Near the escalators on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors we will have a monitor displaying that day’s meeting schedule. We hope that it proves useful, and we look forward to your feedback.

2. QR Codes to Access Agenda & Floor Plans
At the bottom of most of the IETF signage spread throughout the venue there are four QR codes that will enable people to access several agenda- related resources:
- iOS meeting app (available for download from App Store)
- Android meeting app (available for download from Google Play)
- Online meeting agenda
- Online floor plans

3. QR Code Scavenger Hunt
Finally, since we are using QR codes already, we thought it would be fun to do something else with QR codes: a scavenger hunt!

Throughout the IETF meeting space we’ve hidden 8 purple QR codes, each labeled with a clue number. If you locate and scan one of these codes, you will taken to a page where you can enter your name to prove that you were there. If you locate 6 out of 8 of these hidden codes, you will receive a special button prize from the Secretariat.

Regards,
Alexa
