Hello IETF 94 Companions,

In less than a month we'll be in Yokohama, Japan! The Yokohama meeting venue is the Pacifico Yokohama (1-1-1 Minato Mirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan) attached to the InterContinental Yokohama Grand (1-1 Minato Mirai, Mishi-Ku, Yokohama, Japan).

The nearest metro stop is the Minato Mirai Station (Minato Mirai Line), go out the "Queen's Square" exit.

The Companions will have the traditional IETF Companions Reception on Sunday November 1, 2015 4:30pm-5:30pm (local time) in the InterContinential Yokohama Grand hotel. The reception is scheduled to be in the May Fair room on the 30th level of the hotel, which I am told has amazing views.

After the Companions Reception, you are welcome to join the IETF 94 Welcome Reception (which is scheduled to go from 5:00pm-7:00pm local time) in the InterContinental Yokohama Grand's InterContinental Ballroom on the 3rd level of the hotel.

The IETF Registration Desk will be in the Pacifico Yokohama Conference Center, level 3F Foyer area.

There will be a Social Event on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 - tickets are required ($30 USD per person). For more information: http://ietf94.jp/social-event/

There will be an IETF 94 Pipe Organ Day at Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. There will be a lunchtime organ recital and an evening organ demonstration. Both events are free. For more information: http://www.yokohama-organdemo.org/

The IETF 94 Host Web site has a lot of good information about the area around the IETF 94 venue, how to get to the Pacifico Yokohama, and more information on the Social Event: http://ietf94.jp/

Also available is the IETF 94 Meeting Wiki page: https://www.ietf.org/registration/MeetingWiki/wiki/ietf94 that includes information on finding a supermarket, a guide to typical restaurant fare, local museums, and more information on airport transportation.

In addition, the IETF Companions have a private Facebook group you are welcome to join if you haven't yet - lots of Companions connect through the group to travel and tour together: https://www.facebook.com/groups/185456914970392/

Looking forward to seeing you all in Yokohama!
