Hello First Timers!

This is a note from the IETF Mentoring program.
The Mentoring program can help with your integration and success into the IETF.  It is open to attendees who have been to fewer than 5 IETF meetings in person.
It is especially important if you are working on a draft or wish to participate actively in a Working Group.   We can help match you with an experienced IETFer (mentor) who can introduce you to the Working Group chairs and other important people in your area of interest.
The Mentoring program also has an open invitation to all mentees & mentors to meet for lunch every day of IETF week.   Much of the benefit of attending in person can be informal conversations that you have with others in the hallways, over meals, etc.   The more comfortable you feel at the IETF and the people, the better your chances of success.
We also have the popular Speed Mentoring events both on Sunday & Monday at breakfast.   This is where you can have conversations with 10 or more experienced IETFers in one hour.   This way, if you have a question at a WG, then you may already know someone who may be able to help you.
You may sign up for the mentoring program as a mentee by filling out the form at:

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
