i arrange my own travel details.  when doing so i check on any details
which (sorry rfced) concern me.  if i fear feather pillows, i check with
the hotel when making my reservation.

i travel a bit.  there is no 'normal' from which the ietf travel agency,
aka iaoc, could rigorously note deviation.  and if they start down that
path, face it, we'd nit-pick them to death.
