Everyone,

Some of you may have read the posting concerning AMADNS or seen the
presentation of AMADNS given at last week's Internet Accounting BOF.  In case
you haven't done either, AMADNS is a system designed to transport and process
usage data.  The concepts, architecture, and protocols for AMADNS are very
similar to those for Internet accounting.  Hence, certain aspects of AMADNS may
be adopted/adapted for the detailed definition of the Internet accounting
components and interfaces.  

AMADNS is defined in GR-1343-CORE, "Generic Requirements for the Automatic
Message Accounting Data Networking System (AMADNS)".  You can order
GR-1343-CORE by calling Bellcore's Customer Service representatives at
1-800-521-CORE and asking for the document by number.  A subscription to the
document costs $330.  This amount is set so that reproduction, order handling,
and mailing costs are recovered (and a little profit is made).  A subscription
entitles you to the document, a revision to the document (expected by the end
of the year), and Issues List Reports produced occasionally to document
remaining issues.
