Hi all, I am referring to the email of Hannes found at https://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/ace/current/msg01869.html <https://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/ace/current/msg01869.html> I would ask the group to take on this work, and find a decent (and possibly controllable) balance between actual security needs and latency. E.g. in a lighting environment a presence detector signal needs to propagate rather quick to a larger set of light points to turn them on, but the authentication security need for this single operation is rather low, asking for re-authentication e.g. in a decent interval rather than for complex (and resource consuming) full authentication for every message sent. ciao, Walter WERNER (in charge of the Architecture Workgroup of „OpenAIS“ (www.openAIS.eu)) Walter Werner Werner Management Services e.U.
