At the RealWorldCrypto conference, they announced earlier that LetsEncrypt was one of two winners of the annual Levchin prize.

Many recognizable names on the list[1], including Richard Barnes, Roland Shoemaker, Russ Housley, Eric Rescorla, and no doubt I missed some names. There are explanatory links on that page, including what the Prize is about, and the acceptance blog post.
