Greetings to all parties interested in AppleTalk networking.

This message is to notify you that within the next 48 hours, the
apple-ip@cayman.com and atalk-routing@shiva.com mailing lists will
disappear and be replaced with one AppleTalk general discussion list,

		anf-disc@netcom.com

This will be a general AppleTalk discussion list.
The apple-ip@cayman.com and atalk-routing@shiva.com lists will still
function, but they will forward your message to the anf-disc list.

More specific topic lists are being created to reflect the working
groups being formed within the AppleTalk Networking Forum. The current
working group topic-specific lists are:

List name			List charter
======================================================================
anf-steering list of all steering committee members

anf-board list of all board members

anf-announce			this will initially mirror anf-disc;
				announcements of specifications for
				review, meeting times/dates, upcoming
				votes, etc. will be posted to this list

anf-zonechange a list where the design and
				implementation of the zone-name changing
				issue will occur

anf-tii				where the transport-independent
				initiative will be discussed

anf-routing new AppleTalk routing protocols and
				general routing issues will be
				discussed here

anf-netmgt			AppleTalk network management

anf-tunnel			AppleTalk in {IP, CLNS, DECnet, foobar}
				will be discussed here.

To request that you be added to a list, please send email to:

	anf-request@netcom.com

and include in the body of the message the names of the lists to which
you would like to be added. You may request to be added to more than one
list at once. Membership information requests may also be sent to this
alias.

If you have general questions about the ANF that are not requests for
information/mailing list addition, please direct those to
anf@netcom.com.

Thank you for your time,

the ANF
