For the record, it's long been my opinion that the lack of an effective, global policy making body for the Internet is an excellent thing and one of the main reasons for the Internet's remarkable success**. Watching the WSIS process and the IGF over the years has only confirmed my opinion.

In any case, I think we're agreed that this is not an IETF/IAB topic.

** To be clear, in my opinion there are many issues of great public interest that apply to every form of pervasive trans-border telecommunications, but they are not specific to the Internet and need to be addressed in a much more generic context.
