My take: The only way to prove that there is no conflict of interest
is when i can prove that i will harm my own interests through what i do.
Maybe a reference to Exodus 22:28.

That was fun. Now, can we move beyond sillyness ? 

I hope that most participants in IETF honestly think that what they work
towards is not morally evil, but many of us hopefully are also aware
that our work is in support of one of potentially multiple competing
commercial options whose outcomes do impact revenue and market
experience of different group of market participants.

Politicians are regularily accused of COI when they change from/to
a job in the industry that relates to their political work, so they
do not even do both things in parallel like most of us do.

Let me repeat my original question: I want user stories:

What would be a good reference example for the most minor COI                                         
that one should be concerned about in an IAB candidate/member ?
