Reality is that you get that quantity of messages because of the fact of
bulk mailings, and hence bulk mailings are relevant -- at least to the
extent that reality is relevant.  :-)

To put it another way, if bulk mailing was eliminated, your spam
problem, along with everyone else's, would be eliminated.
