Hi, I think it would be good to put the current IPR situation into perspective. All that we know is that Matsushita have a patent application that could be applicable to the retransmission draft according to their judgement. This does not mean that an actual patent will be granted or that the retransmission draft would really infringe on such a patent. At this point of time, saying that the retransmission draft is patented is only speculation. Such speculation should not in my opinion prevent the draft from progressing.
