All, FYI, I posted an IPR declaration against draft-ietf-avtcore-rtp-vvc on behalf of my employer; see https://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/4048/. I was on the fence whether such a disclosure is necessary in this particular case as the mapping relates to a section that arguably could be designed around, but did so anyway in the spirit of transparency and in an abundance of caution. The patent application is unpublished. The terms are those originally introduced by Cisco and widely used by many IETF companies.
