E-TREE for EVPN (https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-bess-evpn-etree-05) will be GA this year.  Root or leaf role can be defined on a port or VLAN basis, and Single-Active and All-Active multi-homing are supported.  E-TREE for PBB-EVPN is on the roadmap.
