The IESG has received a request from the Inter-Domain Routing Working
Group to consider "Guidelines for creation, selection, and registration
of an Autonomous System (AS)" <draft-ietf-idr-autosys-guide-03.txt> for
the status of BCP.

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send any comments to the
iesg@cnri.reston.va.us or ietf@cnri.reston.va.us mailing lists by
August 22, 1995.
