Dear authors

I reviewed this draft in detail and the draft is well written and I believe
is ready for progressing.

I had a few comments on the draft.

I noticed the document does not have a table of contents which makes it
easier to skip to different sections of the document.

The introduction talks about the draft using RFC 8562 BFD for multipoint
networks and RFC 8563 BFD for multipoint networks with active tails.

Section 6 talks about this use case BIER BFD use id RFC 8563 for multipoint
networks with active tails.

I did not see a section discussing use of RFC 8562 BFD for multipoint
networks. Maybe RFC 8562 could be just an informative reference.

In the future would their be a draft for BIER BFD IGP and BGP extensions
for IGP and BGP bootstrapping of BFD for BIER.

Today there is a draft for SBFD drafts to carry the BFD discriminator in
IGP or BGP.

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-isis-sbfd-discriminator-02

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-ospf-sbfd-discriminator-06

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-idr-bgp-ls-sbfd-extensions-04

Could you leverage possibly those existing IGP & BGP or extensions for SBFD
for BIER BFD bootstrapping extensions?

Thank you

Gyan
