If you ever get two of them it'd be nice to know which one is the
freshest, and that yet they are still the same thing.

Perhaps there is value in having something rather than UID, however.
Seen out of context it's not clear to me what the above is referencing,
but (e.g.) as a sub-component of a VCARD the DTSTAMP and UID from the
outer component would obviate any need for them inside this component.
