IPng Working Group Mailing List

A new mailing list has been created for the IP Next Generation working
group.  None of the existing ipng working group mailing lists were copied
into this one.  If you want to be on this list, you will need to
subscribe.

The ipng list is an open, automatically maintained mailing list.
Complete list management instructions are attached.

To subscribe send a message which contains in the message body:

	subscribe ipng

to the address

    	[e-mail]

This will subscribe the address from which you sent the request to the
mailing list.

p.s.  This list was announced at last week's IETF meeting as "ip-ng".  If
      you subscribed via that name you do not have to re-subscribe.  If
      you really like the old name, we set up an aliases which points to
      the new name.

SUBSCRIBING
===========

To subscribe to the ipng list, send the following in the body (not the
subject line) of an email message to "[e-mail]":

	subscribe ipng

This will subscribe the account from which you send the message to
the ipng list.

If you wish to subscribe another address instead (such as a local
redistribution list), you can use a command of the form:

	subscribe ipng other-address@your_site.your_net

If you expect to be sending contributions to the list from multiple
addresses, please notify [e-mail] of *all*
addresses you expect to post from.  Only postings from known subscribers
are re-distributed to the list without human intervention.  (This is to
prevent mail loops.)


UNSUBSCRIBING
=============

To un-subscribe from ipng, send the following in the body (not
the subject line) of an email message to "[e-mail]":

	unsubscribe ipng

This will unsubscribe the account from which you send the message.
If you are subscribed with some other address, you'll have to send
a command of the following form instead:

	unsubscribe ipng other-address@your_site.your_net

If you don't know what address you are subscribed with, you can send
the following command to see who else is on the list (assuming that
information isn't designated "private" by the owner of the list):o

	who ipng

If you want to search non-private lists at this server, you can do that
by sending a command like:

	which string

This will return a list of all entries on all lists that contain "string".

If you feel you need to reach a human, send email to

POSTING

To post a message to the list, send it to [e-mail].
