Hi,

It is not clear in RFC3471/RFC4606 how to determine the size of the SUBCHANNEL field in the LABEL_SET object for VCAT LSPs (i.e. NVC is greater than "0").

For example, if NVC is 4 then each SUBCHANNEL sub-object should contain 4 label values for each data-plane member in the VCAT LSP and if the number of SUBCHANNELs is 5 then there will be 5x4=20 labels encoded in the LABEL_SET object.

Now how does the receiver of the LABEL_SET object figure out what is the size of the SUBCHANNEL? One obvious way is too use the NVC parameter, but
I wanted to know if this is the expected solution.

Another question is would the same apply if the MT parameter is greater than 1.

Would appreciate a response.

Thanks,
Snigdho
