Hi Jonas, Could you please elaborate this question a bit more? "When creating a TE connection (LSP), should all necessary information (bandwidth, latency, availability, etc) be available in the 1st level resources used (IGP Links), or should the PCE always query all underlaying layers for additional information?" Are you referring to a multilayer scenario in which the IP/MPLS link is the client and there is a number of physical layers below? If my understanding is correct I would say that the info needs to be available at the client layer as the PCE might not have the capability to retrieve the information from the lower layers (and in many cases doesn't have awareness at all of them).
