I think we can all agree that:

1. If you *want* people to link your contributions here to things you've
published under your legal name, then it is better to make this easy than
to make it difficult.
2. As a purely descriptive observation: having a pre-existing reputation
tends to influence how your writing is received.

One can acknowledge these things and still passionately reject the
assertion that "IETF should have no place for
communications by 'anonymous'".
