At the very least we should be able to demand from the members of cfrg to
take a public stand against the NSA sabotage of crypto standards. As far as
I know this has been asked of Kevin Igoe and was only met by silence.

As a non-us citizen working in crypto engineering my efforts to get grad
students involved with the cfrg has been met with disbelief and disinterest
when finding out the affiliation of one of its chairs.
According to me, the question whether or not what's happening to Kevin Igoe
is fair (until proven otherwise, I don't doubt his judgement or his
honesty) is interesting but beyond the point. Right now we should be
thinking about what's fair to the cfrg
