Lars,

People participate in the IETF/IRF as individuals. Guilt by employer would be a dangerous precedent.

As one of the JOSE authors, we did bring a question to the CFRG re our spec not that long ago.

If anything the problem with the CFRG is getting its members engaged rather than manipulation of the chairs.

I don't have any particular issue with Kevin or David both of whom I see at IETF meetings on a regular basis.

Being a chair and motivating a group is not a easy task.

That is however the criteria we need to be looking at for the too few volunteers we have for these positions.

On target discussions to help the chairs and RG are appreciated, but this has turned into a bit of a witch hunt.

While I may have opinions about the NSA and there activities, I don't consider those to have any special bearing
on Kevin's competence.

Regards
John B.

I am also reading all the feedback on this list and feedback sent to me personally at irtf-chair@irtf.org. Let's please not invent new processes.
