Subject: Speaking of Draft Standard Status

I believe we have to go to Draft Standard or die. Going to Draft Standard
requires the existence of at least a couple of interoperable implementations.
That's a bit hard to measure, since agents don't talk to each other and the
NMS folks don't seem to have glommed onto the idea of neat applications for
standard MIBs.

Who is shipping agents with the Character MIB implemented?

Who has management applications that are known to work with the Character MIB
from multiple vendor's agents?

Xyplex is shipping products with the Character MIB implemented in it's proper,
standard position in the MIB tree.
